SCOPE: The existing Market Square at the Adelaide Produce Markets is set to undergo a major transformation with two new free standing canopies being built to protect the fresh food produce we all enjoy. Each canopy is approximately 9300m2 in size providing 18,600m2 of undercover area for the logistics handling, storage and distribution. This transformation will result in the largest undercover market in the state and one of the largest in Australia.
The new structures are unique in design with each canopy being supported by only eight columns. This was a critical aspect of our clients brief as their operations demanded the greatest amount of unobstructed work space possible. With the introduction of a sophisticated steel truss design with spans over 48m and “W” shaped roof structure we have been able to fulfil our clients brief.
In addition to the new Market Square Precinct we are extending one of the existing canopies along with two existing warehouses on the site. In total we are providing approximately 21,400m2 new buildings for our client. With some careful planning and strategic coordination all of the 21,400m2 of new works is being built whilst our client remains fully operational.

SCOPE: Following on from the redevelopment of the existing Electrolux Building in 2009, ISPT have engaged us again to design and construct a new Business Banking Centre for the National Australia Bank. Situated on the same site as the Electrolux facility we are providing our client with a 500m2 office building and 1500m2 of new car parking and landscaping. In addition to the new works we are also undertaking a complete upgrade of the existing 4500m2 car park including landscaping and stormwater services.

CONTRACT VALUE: Stage 1 & 2 - $1.28 million
SCOPE:Refurbishment and extension to the existing Adelaide City Dealership on Main North Road at Prospect. The project has been split into two stages in order to help our client remain fully operational during construction.
Stage one includes an extension to the existing Great Wall showroom providing a larger internal vehicle display along with additional offices & storage facilities. The external façade will also be transformed with a new entry statement, shop front glazing and “Alucobond” façade panelling.
In addition to the building works we are constructing an extra 850m2 of external car display and new paving to existing areas. Stage two will see the remainder of the existing Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge showroom extended and refurbished to match in with the new look Great Wall Dealership.

SCOPE:Even though the unstable financial times put a hold on the new $16 million dollar six storey Glenelg apartment’s project, our client was still enthusiastic to utilise the existing La Mancha Building with its enviable esplanade location. Based on this enthusiasm we are currently redeveloping the existing 3 storey complex both internally and externally.
The internal works is providing a make over of the 18 self contained holiday apartments. After an extensive demolition process each apartment is being completely renewed including kitchens, bathrooms, fittings and fixtures along with floor coverings and furnishings.
The external works is providing a new facelift front to back along with some structural works to the western façade. Following decades of exposure to the costal environment the structural integrity of the building has been eroded. With the introduction of structural steel work, roofing, windows and a coat of paint the external appearance will be hardly recognisable.

SCOPE: Construction of a two storey office and warehouse. Due to the continual growth of the company Pike Constructions is building a new 400m2 office and 1000m2 warehouse adjacent our existing premises in Thebarton. The new facility will provide us with both high end commercial grade office space with capacity for future growth and warehousing to accommodate our growing fleet of plant and equipment.
